What It Does

The Zeppa is a non-clamping bead depressor. It locks under the rim flange and holds the tire bead down in the wheel's drop center while you mount or demount the tire. With the bead held in the drop center, the opposite side of the tire has more slack, so low-profile, run-flat, and other stiff-sidewall tires go on and come off with far less fight.

Why the Zeppa Is Different

Most drop center tools on the market are short, compact clamps. They do the job, but your hand ends up right on top of the bead, where the tire and rim pinch together. The Zeppa takes a different approach.

  • Your hand stays to the side. The Zeppa's elongated body puts your hand 8 to 10 inches to the side of the bead area instead of directly over it.
  • More leverage on stiff tires. That same length works like a lever, so you can push a stubborn bead down into the drop center with much less effort.
  • Built to take shop use. Rigid reinforced polymer construction that stands up to stiff tires.
  • No clamping, no adjusting. Hook it under the rim flange and go.

Common Questions

What kinds of tires is the Zeppa best for?

Low-profile and ultra-high-performance tires, run-flats, PAX, and any tire with a stiff sidewall that fights you on the machine.

Does it attach to my tire changer?

No. The Zeppa doesn't bolt or clamp to the machine. It locks under the rim flange of the wheel, which is why it works across so many tire changer brands.

How is shipping handled?

We ship by USPS in a Tyvek envelope. Shipping is a flat rate added at checkout, so you'll see the total before you pay.
